SNTV launches new live content solution

London (6 April 2017)sntv, the leading sports news video agency, announced today that it has launched sntv live, a new live sports video solution, which will provide live coverage of scheduled sports news events, enabling audiences to get inside the story as it unfolds.

Offering unprecedented access to sports news and event highlights to broadcasters and digital publishers globally, sntv – a joint venture between The Associated Press and IMG – is ideally positioned to provide clients with the most up-to-date sports coverage.

With the growing adoption of online video streaming and live video becoming an increasingly important way for broadcasters and publishers to connect with their audiences, sntv's live sports video solution will provide regular coverage of live sports news events each month, from pre-match press conferences to key sports announcements.

sntv's pre-planned live video content will be available to view and book through the robust AP Video Hub platform, with delivery via AP Live Choice. Launched in 2015, AP Live Choice offers three live video channels for broadcast or digital use. sntv's live content significantly increases the breadth of live sports coverage available through AP Video Hub, alongside the existing live news, entertainment, lifestyle, environment and business live coverage.

Commenting on the launch sntv's Managing Director, Martin Kay, said: “sntv has provided one-off live coverage of key sports news events over the last couple of years to clients. However, with the rise of instant, 24-hour news and social media creating a huge increase in demand for sports video, we recognised the time was right to provide our clients with far more frequent and consistent live sports news coverage.

“Our crews will be covering a wide range of live sports news events each month, including press conferences from the UEFA Champions League, European World Cup Qualifiers and US sporting event finals, as well as other unmissable events including trophy parades, boxing weigh-ins, UFC events and major soccer player and manager signings and transfers.

“Broadcasters and digital publishers will not only be able to stream these events live across multiple platforms, but having access to the live feed will also mean that they get the content into their newsrooms faster than ever before.”
