Bayer Leverkusen's 5-0 win saw them secure their first ever German Bundesliga title, ending an era of dominance for Bayern, who have won the past 11 Bundesliga titles.

There was a sense of inevitability about Leverkusen's Bundesliga win for weeks now with Xabi Alonso's side remaining unbeaten in all competitions this season and are on course to complete a treble, a remarkable feat considering they were in the relegation zone back in October 2022 when Xabi Alonso took charge, and now 18 months later they are Champions.
